Photos: Female students of Imo State University killed in armed robbery attack to be laid to rest on Friday

On the 12th of August, students of the Department of Medical Laboratory, Imo State University were attacked by armed robbers on their way to an academics excursion. Mobile Police men ran into the scene of the robbery and began to exchange bullets with the armed robbers.

Almost all the students sustained injuries from flying bullets and broken glasses. Unfortunately, two female students Joy Amarachi Ihezie and Okere Faith died of bleeding before they were rushed to a near-by hospital for medical attention.

Late Miss Ihezie, fondly called AJOY, by family and friend, was the daughter of Rev. E.U. Ihezie , of Assembles of God Church. May their souls rest in peace. And may God give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
